Assoc. Prof Mauro C. C. Ribeiro
Departamento de Química Fundamental, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil
Mauro C. C. Ribeiro obtained his PhD degree in 1995 at Instituto de Química, niversidade de São Paulo (IQ-USP), under supervision of Prof. Paulo S. Santos. He started teaching at IQ-USP in 1996 and is an associated professor since 2003. His postdoc (1996-1998) was in the group of Prof. Paul A. Madden, Oxford University, working with molecular dynamics of high-temperature molten salts. After returning to São Paulo he started working with vibrational spectroscopy (IR and Raman) and molecular dynamics simulation of room-temperature ionic liquids. His research concerns structure and dynamics of ionic liquids with particular focuses on glass transition and crystallization taking place under low temperature or high pressure.
